Coronavirus Updates

March 27, 2021

Dear CCFM Family,

I wanted to give you another update regarding what we are doing now with the Covid policies for our church body. It’s been quite a year (or more) of adjustments and by God’s grace we have come through as a church family stronger than ever. I want to thank everyone for pulling together and not apart, being understanding and flexible. This honors the Lord.

It has been our policy that church is essential, therefore must remain open. We do our best to provide a safe environment at our services and allow each to make their own decisions as to what one thinks is best for them and their families.

That included attending in-person or online, wearing a mask or not, and social distancing. We did our best to allow for spacing in our sanctuary and provide seating outside and in the atrium (to allow those wanting to attend but avoid contact or close proximity to others). We have had diligent servants cleaning and sanitizing the sanctuary regularly.

Now that the mask mandates have been lifted and businesses open 100% in our state, along with the plummeting number of cases we feel its time to start easing our social distancing requirements in the sanctuary.

With that said we also want to be responsible and understanding of all. Each of us have different situations, different immune systems and different risk levels. The main thing we now ask is that if you are having ANY possible symptoms, please stay home until your symptoms are gone and/or you have been tested.

We will continue the mask optional policy, and also provide seating with social distancing either outside (weather permitting) or inside the atrium for those who want to come but feel uncomfortable in the Sanctuary where we are easing the social distancing requirements. We will also continue to stream all our services online for those who want to participate in that way.

I want to thank all the servants who have worked so hard to keep things running so that the Work of God can continue. I also want to thank all of you who call CCFM your home. We love you so much and are so thankful for you.

What is most important is that we keep moving forward in our faith, growing in the Lord and becoming closer and closer as a congregation. Our sincere desire is that the Lord be glorified in all that we do.

The Lord is good,

Pastor Jon

Dear CCFM Family,

I wanted to give you and update as we reopen the Church Services this Sunday, January 24th after going to online only services for two weeks. It’s been a difficult two weeks as we kept hearing about those who have tested positive. Those who have tested positive are recovering, and we are thankful for that. Please continue to pray for them.

As a church, we have asked that the Lord would give us good works to walk in (Eph. 2:10), He has certainly done that through this time of trial. Those good works don’t always look the way we think they do, and yet if we pray and look they are there. Every trial is an opportunity to grow in our faith and be used by God in special ways.

I have talked to many in our Church body who have been touched by the Lord in deep ways. The body has been praying for one another, reaching out to one another and walking in unity with one another through this. The Lord has brought a tenderness, dependence, brokenness and greater love in our body and for that I am thankful.

We do believe the church is absolutely essential and that we need to stay open. In the last two weeks we were unable to do so simply because we didn’t have the personnel to do so. We got hit in all areas of the church. Most of those who tested positive will be back Sunday and are symptom free and past the necessary quarantine period. We need one more week for the Children’s Church however.

We are excited to get back together this Sunday and wanted to let you know what we are doing and how we are moving forward. The church will be professionally sanitized before Sunday and will be cleaned and sanitized after every service.

We will do our best to social distance with the seating, hand sanitizer will be available and masks are optional. We will have additional seating with greater spacing and less contact with others inside the Atrium area and outside when weather permits. Those who are at higher risk for contracting the virus should be very prayerful and cautious about coming to service.

Finally, I think the area we can improve most is for those with any symptoms or exposure to someone else with symptoms or a positive test, please stay away from service until you can get tested or until you are symptom free for 14 days. Error on the side of caution and make sure you don’t have the virus.

God bless you all and To God be the glory,

Pastor Jon

Dear CCFM Family,

I wanted to update you on what is going on in our body regarding Covid -19. From the beginning we wanted to make sure the church was open for those who want to come, knowing the Biblical importance of gathering together. By God’s grace we have been able to do so and we have been blessed and encouraged by one another during a very difficult time. In addition, we have been able to reach those who have not been able to come because they are in susceptible category for contracting the virus or are concerned about getting it through our online platforms.

An interesting Gallup poll came out recently that reported the only group category that they measured whose mental health has actually improved over the last year was those who attended church once a week

With that said, in the past week or so we have had several people who have tested positive for the virus. We would still like to keep the church open for those who are not sick and have not been exposed, but are unable to due to the necessary personnel we would need to have service. Therefore, after discussing this with the board and taking it to the Lord in prayer, we will be temporarily going to online services only now until Sunday, January 24th .

Please keep those infected in prayer as well as our fellowship in general. Pray for the Lord’s will, and that it would be clear to us as we move forward. The Lord has really done an amazing work in our body last year, and we are confident moving forward of His plan for us that is already settled in Heaven.

If any of you need anything please let us know by contacting the church. We love you and look forward to seeing you all online this coming Sunday!

By His Grace,

Pastor Jon

Dear CCFM Family,

I wanted to give you another update regarding CCFM and the newly signed Executive Order No. GA 29 signed yesterday (July 2, 2020) and to go into effect (July 3 at 12:01pm) regarding the wearing of face masks and how this might affect our CCFM worship services.

Good news is, it will not affect us as far as discontinuing services. We will continue having services in the same manner that we have been since reopening. The face mask requirement does not apply to religious worship services. It also does not apply to those who are not able to wear a facemask due to health reasons, as well several other exemptions.

Therefore, we are grateful to able to continue to provide Sunday and Wednesday services with Children’s Church available from 4yo to 5th grade (Sundays only) as well as Youth services for grades 6-12 (only Sunday mornings).
In addition we will continue to provide Men’s Bible Study Saturday mornings (in person and/or zoom), Women’s Monday night (currently zoom only every other week), Corporate prayer Thursday nights (zoom only). Coming soon will be our new Recovery Ministry (Tuesday nights, more info to follow). We will provide outdoor seating as well as long as weather permits.

We are also happy to announce the addition of a new suite to our current two suites in order to provide more room for our youth as well as possible overflow. We should have our Certificate of Occupancy next week so we can begin using very soon.

We have been and will continue to use wisdom regarding our gatherings. For example sterilizing the spaces we are using before and after services (we can use help if anyone would like to help please email the church or talk to an usher at church), social distancing, encouraging staying home and worship online with us if you are having symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID 19 for two weeks (or get tested prior to the two weeks).

We encourage those who are immune compromised or in high-risk categories to stay home and watch online. We also encourage you to take proper procedures to make sure your children are not sick when coming to church by taking their temperature. Children with a temperature of 100.4 degrees and above should not come to church. Children exhibiting symptoms or exposed to COVID in the last 14 days won’t be able to attend the Children’s Church.

Face masks are not required but should be considered by each individual. I ask you to please not make this a point of division however you feel about this.

Ultimately, each of us must pray and be led by the Lord individually during this time. Corporate worship is very important and we as a staff are doing the best we can to provide what the Lord has prescribed in the best and safest way possible. We cannot let fear be our guide, as we have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power love and sound mind.

Yet, for some it is wise to stay home as well and we are doing our best to provide several platforms in which you can join us i.e. on our website, Facebook live, YouTube live, twitter live and Sermon.net on Roku. We also have all our messages archived on our website (practically the whole Bible) as well as YouTube. Our Coffee Table talks are also on YouTube and a new Coffee Table talk podcast is now available. Selected messages are also available via podcast. Please share these platforms with others so we can get God’s Word out.

If you are not on our text or email list and would like to be please email the church and let us know.

Personally, I am watching what the Lord has done and is going to do through all this. I rest in Him, and I am watching and praying as to what the Lord’s will is for my family, our church family and me.

I love you all very much and Tamar and I are blessed beyond measure to be able to serve along side all of you in these very exciting times.

By His Grace,

Pastor Jon

CCFM family – It was a joyous time meeting back together again in the building this past Sunday! We will continue to meet in the building for Sunday and Wednesday services from this point on Lord willing. It was amazing to see everyone who came face to face.

We will keep you posted as far as when we will be able to have Children’s Church in the building as well as our other ministries. We will also continue to have outdoor seating (weather permitting, also feel free to bring your lawn chairs but we will provide chairs as well).

We are learning as we go so thank you for your grace and patience.

CCFM family – Hi everyone, I hope you all are well and the Lord has been ministering to you through this challenging time. I appreciate you all very much.

I wanted to give you an update regarding moving forward with church services. The board and I met Wednesday night to seek the Lords will for us in regards to meeting together in person again. This Sunday we will continue our online services without any changes and the Board and I will discuss our next move this coming Sunday.

Don’t forget that we will also be taking communion together so if you need the communion elements let us know and we will make make sure you get them so you can participate with us.

Thank you all for your patience and prayer along with your united hearts of love for one another. This has definitely been a difficult time but also a great time of reflection and faith building. The Lord has increased our online platforms and we have been able to reach and minister to so many more people and for that we are grateful. Please pray for us (the Board) that we would have the Lords heart for our body.

We will keep you posted and should be back together very very soon!!!

Ps 60:11 Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless.

This scripture reminds me that as much as we do to try and stop the COVID-19 virus it is useless unless the Lord intervenes. While it is important to take the proper practical measures, it is the Lord’s help we need. Imagine if our world took God’s word as seriously as we are now washing our hands, social distancing and coughing into our elbows. Imagine if we stored up God’s Word like we do toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

The Bible says if we seek God first, that He will take care of the rest. I see this COVID-19 virus as that opportunity. We are seeing first-hand how vulnerable the things in the world are, how easily things can fall apart and most importantly how fragile our lives are. This virus has given us an opportunity to reevaluate our lives, to see what we are building our lives on and whom or what we are trusting in.

For those who have put their trust in the Lord, you are finding out how valuable that is now. You are experiencing a stability and peace that goes beyond the present circumstances to an Everlasting God who rules and reigns over all of this. For those who have not put their trust in the Lord, I urge you to consider this time as message to you of your need to be right with the Lord, after all, the world and all that is in it is fading away but God’s Word will last forever.

As we seek the Lords help we then take practical steps as well. This is where we had to make a tough decision today to move our Sunday and Wednesday services to online only starting immediately. The Board and I will continue to monitor the situation daily and as soon as we possibly can we will resume services back in our building (as well as continue online streaming). Fortunately we have been streaming our services live so it won’t be difficult to continue to do this. All ministries will be on hold for now as well.

As we make this move, we do so knowing that it is the Lord’s help we need. I encourage you to make the most of your time and get into the Word, pray, meet with some of your brothers and sisters in the Lord for prayer, Bible study and encouragement. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to draw near to the Lord. We have Bible Studies on our website of most of the books of the entire Bible.

The Pastors and leaders will be available for prayer and anything else you may need. You can call the church office or email the church and we will get back to you. If you need help in any other way we will be available. In order to watch our Sunday 10:30 am service and/or Wednesday 7 pm service online you can:
